Dutch Boy Returns as May Kansas Race Sponsor

For the second consecutive year, Dutch Boy Paints will serve as the primary sponsor of the Dutch Boy 150, the first of two ARCA Menards Series races at Kansas Speedway in 2022. This year’s Dutch Boy 150 will take place on Saturday, May 14, alongside the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series race, two weekends later than last year’s running.

2022 marks the third consecutive year that Kansas will host two ARCA events in the same season, and the 22nd straight season that it’s been on the ARCA calendar overall. Last year’s Dutch Boy 150 was won by eventual series champion Ty Gibbs, who scored his second of 10 wins on the year and his first of a season-high four-race win streak. Gibbs also led every lap of the race for the first of three times on the season.

Talented List of General Tire Pole Award Winners in 2022

Before taking his first checkered flag in the ARCA Menards Series West at the end of March, Tanner Reif also became the fourth different driver to earn a General Tire Pole Award in 2022 by qualifying first for the NAPA Auto Parts 150 presented by West Coast Stock Car Hall of Fame at Irwindale Speedway. Out of that list, Reif also became the third different driver to score a victory from the pole on the year, joining Sammy Smith in the East event at New Smyrna and Corey Heim in the national season-opening Lucas Oil 200 Driven by General Tire at Daytona.

Smith is the only driver among the group to have two General Tire Pole Awards so far this season, having also qualified first for the General Tire 150 at Phoenix Raceway, but losing the checkered flag to Taylor Gray. Smith would pay it forward the next weekend at Five Flags Speedway, winning the Pensacola 200 East Series race over General Tire Pole Award winner Leland Honeyman, who finished second.
