ARCA Returns to Pocono for General Tire Delivers 200
For the 36th consecutive season, the ARCA Menards Series will visit Pocono Raceway for Friday’s General Tire Delivers 200. The green flag flies at 6:30PM ET, with live coverage of the 80-lap race airing on FS1 and a full slate of practice and qualifying beginning at 2:45PM ET. General admission tickets are just $10, with free admission for kids 12 and under or anyone who recycles a Monster Energy can at the main gate, and General Tire Jim Beaver Show hosts Jim Beaver and Brittney Cardone will be on site for all the action!
ARCA’s superspeedways always attract larger entry lists with bigger names, and Friday’s race will be no exception. The championship-contending trio of Rev Racing teammates Nick Sanchez and Rajah Caruth and GMS Racing’s Daniel Dye lead the list as always, but NASCAR Xfinity Series star Brandon Jones, NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver Kris Wright, and up-and-coming road racing converts Connor Mosack and Parker Chase will also be on the grid. Scott Melton will also make his long-awaited return to Kimmel Racing’s #69 car after suffering a leg injury at Talladega in April.
General Tire-Backed Jim Beaver eSports Retakes eNASCAR Team Points Lead
Jim Beaver eSports kicked off Pocono race week on a high note on Tuesday night, as the General Tire-backed duo of Michael Guest and Blake Reynolds each scored top-15 finishes after a triple overtime finish in eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series action from “The Tricky Triangle.” As a result, the fourth-year eNASCAR team holds a seven-point advantage over legendary NASCAR team Stewart-Haas Racing in the team standings with just six rounds remaining.
No team has more top-10 finishes in the series than JBES, with Guest’s eighth place finish on Tuesday night the team’s 12th in 12 rounds. The team is also tied for second with six top-five finishes and tied for the best average finish in 15th. That’s exactly where Reynolds’ General Tire-sponsored Ford Mustang ended up on Tuesday night, as both drivers had to overcome incidents during multiple eNASCAR Overtime attempts to secure as many points as possible.
