JESSE LOVE TAKES GENERAL TIRE 150 AT CHARLOTTE

Jesse Love’s win streak in the ARCA Menards Series is up to three after another stellar performance in the General Tire 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Love led 67 of the race’s 103 laps, including the final two after taking the lead from Christian Rose on the green-white-checkered restart, and led teammate Dean Thompson and Taylor Gray across the line for the second race in a row.

Love’s three wins in the first five races of the season now have him in control of the standings, and have made the biggest difference between his four top-10s and the four top-10s that Frankie Muniz and Jack Wood, his closest competitors, have also scored. Muniz was sixth at Charlotte, while Wood finished 10th. The national tour takes off the next two weeks before heading to Berlin Raceway on Saturday, June 17.

RACE PREVIEW: PORTLAND

The ARCA Menards Series West heads to Portland International Raceway on Friday night for the return of the Portland 112. The fourth round of the 2023 campaign, and the first of back-to-back road course races, will stream live on Friday at 8:30PM ET on FloRacing, and will air on tape delay on CNBC on Sunday, June 11 at 12:30PM ET.

Sean Hingorani is two-for-three on the season after back-to-back victories at Irwindale Speedway and Kern County Raceway, but his 16th place finish in the season-opening General Tire 150 at Phoenix has him third in points behind Kern County pole sitter Landen Lewis and Phoenix winner Tyler Reif. Lewis’ five-point lead over Reif is the result of runner-up finishes in all three races, and he’s led a series-high 130 combined laps across all three of them. Last year’s race win went to Jake Drew, his first of four on the season on the way to the 2022 title.el.
