Jim Beaver eSports Returns to Off-Road Sim Racing With #Yes2Motorsport and VOREX

Jim Beaver eSports will team up with #Yes2Motorsport to promote the re-imagined Virtual Off-Road Endurocross (VOREX) series in 2024. The nine-race series, run within the Y2M iRacing league on Thursday nights, will feature three distinct events and championships this year, starting with next week’s Sagebrush National at the virtual Wild West Motorsports Park.

VOREX events will fill the last Thursdays of each month not occupied by Y2M’s VORTEX team-based events, with the exceptions of October and November, where they’ll be moved up one week each for the Halloween and Thanksgiving holiday. VOREX events will kick off with a 10-minute Sports race (assorted FWD and RWD road racing cars) at 8PM ET, followed by a 10-minute Pro 2 Lite race and a 20-minute Rallycross Supercars race. Unlike VORTEX, all of these races will feature single-driver entries. There will also be an hour of non-VOREX racing beginning at 7PM ET on each race night.

The full 2024 Jim Beaver eSports/#Yes2Motorsport VOREX schedule is as follows:

  • January 25, 2024: 2nd VOREX Sagebrush National at Wild West

  • February 29, 2024: 2nd VOREX Frozen Lake National at Bark River

  • March 28, 2024: 2nd VOREX Dairyland National at Crandon Full

  • November 21, 2024: 2nd VOREX Wolverine National at Bark River

The alignment marks a return to off-road racing for Jim Beaver eSports, which was one of the first dominant off-road esports teams in the history of not only iRacing, but also the genre as a whole. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, JBE organized a World Cup event that was attended by top sim racers and real-world pros alike, and was dominated by team driver Cameron Pedersen. The reception was so significant that two further events were organized, creating a Triple Crown, and further races were created that year to celebrate iRacing’s releases of Crandon International Raceway and the Long Beach Street Circuit.

From there, the growth only continued. JBE put its World Cup on the CBS Sports Network for 2021 and broadcast the entire Triple Crown in 2022, once again highlighting a mix of top sim pros and real-world stars. Names like Travis Pastrana, Ron Capps, Conor Daly, Greg Biffle, Christopher Polvoorde, Ronnie Anderson, Ryan Vargas, Parker Kligerman, Landon Cassill, Jim DeChamp, and hundreds of others brought the star power to these events. When iRacing unveiled its first $25,000 Off-Road Championship Series in 2022, JBE took a sabbatical from event promotion, but dominated the series by winning its inaugural championship with driver Connor Barry.

Concurrently, Jim Beaver eSports also ran an eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series team from midway through 2019 through the 2023 season. As JBE’s profile grew in the off-road space, the team worked its way through the ranks of eNASCAR, eventually establishing itself as a regular contender for the playoffs and team championship. 2023 was the best season in team history, with drivers Garrett Lowe and Malik Ray both spending plenty of time up front and Lowe earning his way into the Championship 4. Jim Beaver eSports will not be returning to eNASCAR for 2024, but would like to thank iRacing and NASCAR for its time in the series.
