Pedersen Continues Dominant XSLR Season With Lotus 79 Finale at Watkins Glen

Jim Beaver eSports driver Cameron Pedersen wraps up the third quarter of the Cross Series Racing League (XSLR) season tonight with a visit to Watkins Glen International in iRacing’s Lotus 79. Pedersen needs only six points to lock up the championship before even starting the fourth quarter of the campaign.

XSLR features four distinct racing formulas across each iRacing license class, run for four events each: 1987 NASCAR Cup Series cars, Pro 4 off-road trucks on rallycross tracks, Lotus 79 open-wheel cars, and dirt midgets. Thanks to a clean sweep of the Pro 4 season and three wins apiece in the NASCAR and Lotus machines, including victories in every country represented on the virtual calendar, Pedersen has a triple-digit championship lead. With 35 points on the line per victory, and any spot in the top 10 worth at least seven, a decent result of any degree should be enough to secure the title before Pedersen has to step into the dirt midget at all.

XSLR events can be seen live on Apex Racing TV at 8PM ET/5PM PT each week. Following Watkins Glen, the dirt midget portion of the season will visit Limaland, The Dirt Track at Charlotte, Lernerville, and Volusia.
