Didn’t get to watch all of the action motorsports on two and four wheels that made it to TV this week? We’ve got you covered! Here’s a quick summary of everything that went down over the past few days:

Power Sends Off Belle Isle With First IndyCar Win of 2022

Despite leading the standings for much of the year, Team Penske’s Will Power scored just his first win of the NTT IndyCar Series season in Sunday’s Detroit Grand Prix. The Australian pit twice during a race that stayed green until the very last lap, finishing the race off on his alternate tires but outlasting a charge from Andretti Autosport’s Alexander Rossi to win the final race on the streets of Belle Isle before the event moves back into the city proper next year. Chip Ganassi Racing’s Scott Dixon completed the podium.

MacCachren Wins SCORE Baja 500 for Seventh Time

Defending SCORE Trophy Truck champion Rob MacCachren earned his 19th career win in the class in Saturday’s 54th SCORE Baja 500, as well as his seventh class victory and third overall in the historic event. Fellow legend of the event Larry Roeseler joined him on the overall podium in third, with 21-year-old Broc Dickerson sandwiched between them in second. Jorge Sampietro took top honors in the Trophy Truck Spec class, while Austin Weiland earned the overall UTV victory.

Heger, Greaves Remain Racers to Beat in Championship Off-Road Antigo Opener

CJ Greaves swept the Pro 4 class, Brock Heger swept Pro Lite, and the duo went 1-2 in both Pro Stock SXS races with Heger on top of both as the 2022 Championship Off-Road season opened at Antigo Lions Roaring Raceway over the weekend. Jerett Brooks kicked off the racing on Friday night by taking the Duel of Champions victory after four rounds of Pro 2 bracket racing, while Pro Spec driver Gray Leadbetter made COR history as the first woman to win a race in the three-year-old series.

Anderson Earns First Pro Motocross 450 Win at Hangtown; Lawrence Perseveres in 250

With a 1-3 on the day, Monster Energy Kawasaki’s Jason Anderson denied Honda rider Chase Sexton his second straight overall win to open the 2022 Lucas Oil Pro Motocross season in Saturday’s Hangtown Motocross Classic. The win marked the first outdoor victory for the former Monster Energy Supercross champion, who led Sexton’s 2-2 and Eli Tomac’s 4-1 in the overall. Honda still claimed an overall win, though, as defending 250 champion Jett Lawrence backed up his season-opening win at Fox Raceway with a 3-1 victory despite battling illness throughout the event.

Salinas, Hagan, Enders Score Wallys in NHRA New England Nationals

All three pro-level winners in Sunday’s NHRA Camping World Drag Racing Series action from New England Dragway were among the top racers in their respective classes. Funny Car winner Matt Hagan and Pro Stock winner Erica Enders extended their championship leads, while Top Fuel winner Mike Salinas kept himself second in the standings.
