VENTURINI SWEEP AS LOVE LEADS TEAM 1-2 IN GENERAL TIRE 200 AT TALLADEGA, HINGORANI WINS AT KERN COUNTY

Jesse Love’s second ARCA Menards Series superspeedway start marked Venturini Motorsports’ return to the winner’s circle in superspeedway racing, as Love took the lead from Andres Perez de Lara with seven laps to go in Saturday’s General Tire 200 to earn the victory. Love led teammate Gus Dean across the finish line, while former series champion Bret Holmes finished third in his only planned start of the season and Perez de Lara and Corr completed the top five.

Meanwhile, the West division staged a race of its own at Kern County Raceway Park, the NAPA Auto Parts BlueDEF 150, and it ended with a different Venturini car in the winner’s circle. Although defending race winner Landen Lewis won the General Tire Pole Award and led more laps than anyone, Sean Hingorani overcame an early-race penalty to drive through the field, take the lead with 40 laps to go, and earn his second West victory in a row.

RACE PREVIEW: GENERAL TIRE 125 AT DOVER

After being the only ARCA Menards Series division not to be in action last weekend, the ARCA Menards Series East holds its second race of the season on Friday with the General Tire 125 at Dover Motor Speedway. The race will stream live on FloRacing at 5:30PM ET before airing on CNBC on Sunday, May 7 at 11AM ET/8AM PT.

William Sawalich opened the East season with a victory in the Pensacola 200 at Five Flags Speedway for Joe Gibbs Racing. Sawalich held off a hard charge from Pinnacle Racing Group’s Luke Fenhaus on the way to his first career ARCA win, leading every lap and lapping all but three of his competitors.
