JESSE LOVE GOES BACK-TO-BACK ON NATIONAL TOUR WITH KANSAS VICTORY

After scoring his first ARCA Menards Series win of the season in the General Tire 200 at Talladega Superspeedway, there was no better way for Jesse Love and Venturini Motorsports to back it up than by going to the winner’s circle again in the next race. Love’s impressive performance at Kansas Speedway in the Dawn 150 saw him lead a dominant 96 of 100 laps on the race, allowing him to take the championship lead by two points over Frankie Muniz, who finished eighth.

Still, it was no walk in the park for Love. He’d have to outduel three-time 2022 race winner Taylor Gray and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series full-timer Dean Thompson on two separate restarts in the second half of the race, each time regaining the lead just in time for another caution to fly. The trio would remain close on the final 16-lap green flag run, but Thompson would fall .176 seconds short of the winning move on his Venturini teammate.

RACE PREVIEW: NASHVILLE

The ARCA Menards Series East returns to action for its third of eight 2023 rounds on Saturday with the Music City 200 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway. The race will stream live on Saturday at 9:30PM ET on FloRacing, before airing on Sunday, May 21 at 12:30PM ET on CNBC.

This year’s East field is about quality, not quantity, as many of this year’s race winners across the ARCA platform will be suiting up. Joe Gibbs Racing’s William Sawalich won the East opener at Five Flags Speedway and holds a one-point lead over General Tire 125 at Dover winner Jake Finch; they’ll look to break the tie in Nashville. But they’ll also have to fend off names like Sean Hingorani (who has won the last two West events for Venturini Motorsports), Rev Racing’s Lavar Scott, and Pinnacle Racing Group’s Luke Fenhaus.
