Smith Continues East Series Dominance in Nashville

Kyle Busch Motorsports’ Sammy Smith is three for four in ARCA Menards Series East action after winning at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway for the second year in a row on Saturday night. Smith got past polesitter Jake Finch on Lap 45 and dominated the race from there, taking the checkered flag by more than eight seconds when all was said and done. General Tire 125 at Dover winner Taylor Gray was third, with Mason Mingus and Leland Honeyman completing the top five.

Smith’s win allowed him to extend his points lead to nine over Gray in the East championship, 184-175. Both drivers have finished in the top five in all four races this year, with one General Tire Pole Award each as well. Honeyman, the other driver to post a top qualifying time so far this season, is third in the standings, 25 points behind Smith. The East series will return to action on June 11 as part of the Calypso Lemonade 150 at Iowa Speedway, a combination event with the national series.

ARCA Returns to Kansas for Dutch Boy 150

100 laps and 150 miles of action await the drivers of the ARCA Menards Series on Saturday as the series returns to Kansas Speedway for the Dutch Boy 150. Kansas has been a staple of the ARCA schedule ever since the track was opened in 2001, and has even served as the host of the season finale in previous years. Past ARCA winners at Kansas who have gone on to NASCAR Cup Series success include Chase Briscoe, Alex Bowman, and Ty Dillon.

It's all Rev Racing at the front of the field coming into Kansas, with Rajah Caruth atop the standings and teammate Nick Sanchez in third. Sanchez, who took the checkered flag in the General Tire 200 at Talladega, was ARCA’s most recent winner at Kansas last fall; current NASCAR Xfinity Series frontrunner Ty Gibbs was the 2021 winner of the spring race.
