LUKE FENHAUS EARNS FIRST EAST SERIES WIN AT NASHVILLE FAIRGROUNDS
William Sawalich may have been dominant for most of last weekend’s Music City 200 at Nashville Fairgrounds Speedway, but when all was said and done, it was Pinnacle Racing Group’s Luke Fenhaus standing in the winner’s circle at the end of the race. After a last-lap caution for Rita Goulet, setting up a single-lap dash to the finish, Fenhaus stole the lead, withstood a Turn 3 bump, and took his first career ARCA Menards Series East victory.
Following Fenhaus across the line would be Five Flags winner Sawalich, two-time 2023 West Series race winner Sean Hingorani, Giovanni Ruggiero, and General Tire 125 at Dover winner Jake Finch. While all three East winners so far this year have a victory and three top-fives to start the eight-race campaign, Sawalich holds the championship advantage, holding 136 points to Fenhaus’ 130 and Finch’s 128.
RACE PREVIEW: FLAT ROCK
The ARCA Menards Series East enters the second leg of its only back-to-back race weekends of the year on Saturday with a visit to Flat Rock Speedway for the Dutch Boy 150. The race will stream live on Saturday at 7PM ET on FloRacing, before airing on Saturday, May 27 at 11AM ET on CNBC.
It’s been more than two decades since an ARCA series has headed to Flat Rock, but the quarter-mile was a staple of the national series calendar from 1953 to 2000. Joining many of the front-runners from Nashville will be Venturini Motorsports owner Billy Venturini, making his first start since 2007—although he’s made it clear that the start is purely because he was never able to compete at Flat Rock, and shouldn’t be viewed as a proper comeback attempt.
WATCH ARCA RACING
ARCA Menards Series races are shown live on FS1 or FS2 (streamed live on the Fox Sports App and FloRacing). Standalone ARCA Menards Series East and West events are streamed live on FloRacing and shown on tape delay on CNBC. Check local listings for more details.
