Jim Beaver eSports Enters eNASCAR Bristol Dirt Race With Team Championship Lead

Team owner Jim Beaver to Appear on Race Broadcast (8:30PM ET, eNASCAR.com/live)

eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series franchise Jim Beaver eSports heads into tonight’s event at Bristol Motor Speedway with the lead in the eNASCAR team championship for the first time in its history. The race can be seen live tonight at 9PM ET on eNASCAR.com/live, with team owner Jim Beaver appearing on eNASCAR Countdown to Green at 8:30PM ET to talk about the team’s success and making subsequent appearances during the race itself.

Tonight’s Bristol race marks a groundbreaking first in the history of eNASCAR: its first-ever dirt race. The real-world NASCAR Cup Series ended a 51-year break between dirt races when it visited a dirt-covered Bristol last spring, and one year later, its virtual counterpart will be the first to show off the Next Gen car in race action on the high-banked half-mile.

JBeS has had a consistent start to its 2022 season in the eNASCAR ranks, with returning veteran Michael Guest joined by former Championship 4 driver Blake Reynolds in the team’s two-car entry. A JBeS car has finished in the top 10 in every race so far; Reynolds kicked the season off with a sixth place finish at Daytona, while Guest finished eighth at Las Vegas and third at Atlanta, and came from 38th on the grid to finish fifth at Richmond. Those consistent results have Guest sixth in driver points and Reynolds tied for ninth, and give JBeS a three-point lead on its closest rival in the team standings.

Beaver will join the eNASCAR broadcast crew, including mutual eNASCAR and General Tire eShort Course Triple Crown play-by-play voice Evan Posocco, for interview segments throughout tonight’s coverage. The host of the General Tire Jim Beaver Show will talk about the team’s success, the reasoning behind selecting Guest and Reynolds for the team, and will tap into his off-road racing background to talk about what makes drivers successful on dirt.
