Jim Beaver eSports Leads eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series Team Points at Halfway Mark of Season

Watch Michael Guest and Blake Reynolds in action tonight at 9PM ET at eNASCAR.com/live

Jim Beaver eSports’ breakthrough eNASCAR Coca-Cola iRacing Series season hits its halfway point tonight at World Wide Technology Raceway at Gateway, as drivers Blake Reynolds and Michael Guest take the team championship lead into the ninth round of the 18-race campaign. As always, the action can be seen live at 9PM ET at eNASCAR.com/live, with Countdown to Green kicking off the race coverage at 8:30.

Jim Beaver eSports is one of just 20 franchises in the prestigious series, which has run for over a decade and serves as NASCAR’s primary esports initiative. The team made its debut midway through the 2019 season, establishing itself alongside top NASCAR teams like RFK Racing, JR Motorsports, Joe Gibbs Racing, and 23XI, as well as esports teams owned by NASCAR Cup Series stars like William Byron and Austin Dillon. Each year, more than $300,000 is on the line across the series, with the champion driver taking home a prize of $100,000.

Guest (#9 Big Green Egg Ford Mustang) and Reynolds (#15 General Tire/Next Level Racing Ford Mustang) retook the team championship lead after strong performances in last week’s Coca-Cola 150 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, one of the premier rounds on the annual eNASCAR calendar. The duo split their strategies, ensuring a strong team finish either way; Reynolds spent much of the race running in the top 10 before electing to pit under a green flag run that lasted for more than half of the race, while Guest chose to save fuel and try to stretch it until the end. In the end, Guest’s strategy ended with the better result, as he saved just enough to cross the finish line third.

Entering Gateway, both Guest and Reynolds are in the 10-driver playoff grid on points, making JBES the only team with two drivers in the top 10 after wins are accounted for. On points alone, the duo are sixth and seventh, with four top-five finishes and eight top-10s between them. Either Guest or Reynolds has finished in the top 10 in every race thus far in 2022, allowing them to establish a 16-point lead on their closest competitors in the team standings. Both drivers have also excelled at moving up through the pack after the green flag flies; on average, team cars have finished eight spots better than they’ve started, the biggest increase for any team so far this year.

Alongside its eNASCAR efforts, Jim Beaver eSports is also preparing for the inaugural iRacing Off-Road Pro Series, with multiple drivers likely to appear on the 24-truck grid that will compete on Wednesday nights throughout the summer. JBES drivers also organize and compete in a number of premier independent series across the iRacing platform. For more information on Jim Beaver eSports, visit www.jimbeaver15.com/esports.
