Keegan Kincaid Aims to Recapture Winning Form at Bark River

Professional off-road racer and defending Championship Off-Road Pro 2 title winner Keegan Kincaid returns to action for one of the biggest events of the year this weekend, taking on Bark River International Raceway for Rounds 9 and 10 of the 2022 COR campaign. After dominating the track in recent years, the #4 Lucas Oil/Cooper Tire/Vision Wheel Pro 2 squad looks to take advantage of its recent speed and replicate those results in this weekend’s race.

“We’ve only got one thing in mind for the rest of the year—race wins,” said Kincaid. “With that in mind, Bark River couldn’t be coming up at a better time for us. We proved that we can overcome adversity by showing our speed at Dirt City, and I’m excited to take that momentum into a track where we’ve had so much success in recent years. All the ingredients for a return to the winner’s circle are here, now it’s time for us to capitalize!”

Kincaid’s most recent event at Dirt City Motorplex saw him qualify second and spend time in the lead in the first race on Saturday, before taking contact and having to recover from a spin to finish sixth. He’d finish sixth again on Sunday, this time coming from the back of the grid. The results showed a strong recovery in pace after heavy contact at ERX Motor Park two weeks earlier cut his previous event short.

That speed should continue to serve Kincaid well at Bark River, one of the longer tracks on the schedule and a favorite of drivers and fans alike. In recent years, nobody’s been better at the course on Michigan’s Upper Peninsula; Kincaid swept the doubleheader in 2019, and after COR returned to the track in 2021, he added another victory on the way to last year’s title.

Kincaid’s weekend at Bark River will kick off on Friday with practice at 2:45PM local time and qualifying at 5:35PM, and the Pro 2 races will run at 5:55PM on Saturday and 4:55PM on Sunday. In addition, Kincaid will be at the all-series autograph session from 2:30-3:30PM on Saturday. Tickets are available at the gate; for those who can’t attend, live coverage will stream on FloRacing and TV coverage will air on the CBS Sports Network in the coming months.

Keegan Kincaid is supported by Lucas Oil, Vision Wheel, Cooper Tire, Battle Approved Motors, Champion Power Equipment, Langlade Ford, Roush Performance Products, Fox Shocks, Impact, Ehren PSP, and VP Racing Fuels.
