Maconi Setup Shop, Next Level Racing, Jim Beaver eSports Partner for Stock Car Summer Showdown
Five-race championship kicks off June 14; Next Level Racing ERS1 on the line for champion
Three of sim racing’s biggest powers will team up for a five-race battle in one of iRacing’s most uniquely challenging stock cars, as Maconi Setup Shop, Next Level Racing, and Jim Beaver eSports will team up for the 2022 Stock Car Summer Showdown. The action kicks off on Tuesday, June 14 at Charlotte Motor Speedway, with a select group of MSS, NLR, and JBeS drivers leading the way in the General Tire-shod ARCA Menards Series car. All five races will be streamed live on Racecraft TV.
“After an amazing eShort Course Triple Crown and our strong performance in eNASCAR so far this year, we wanted to step outside of our comfort zone and work on a stock car series,” said Jim Beaver eSports founder Jim Beaver. “With the support of our friends and partners at Maconi Setup Shop and Next Level Racing, we think we’ve hit on an amazing formula with the Stock Car Summer Showdown. The ARCA Menards Series car challenges drivers to manage their General Tires effectively, and the diversity of the schedule will ensure that only the best of the best come out on top!”
“I am very excited for this upcoming series!” added Jeff Maconi, Maconi Setup Shop founder. “A lot of hard work has gone in behind the scenes, and I feel confident in the product that we will produce. Racers will enjoy a wide variety of tracks, and will need to utilize all of their skills in order to be crowned champion at the end of the series. I really do believe that this will be one of the most difficult, the most rewarding series of the entire year! I look forward to having my drivers compete, as well as competing myself, in front of the entire iRacing community. This will be the first of many incredible events with this group!”
The five-race campaign will feature five completely different track selections: a short track, intermediate oval, 1.5-mile speedway, superspeedway, and road course. Four of the host venues are staples of the real-world ARCA schedule, while the season finale will visit Maconi Setup Shop founder Jeff Maconi’s home track, Stafford Motor Speedway. At each venue, drivers will compete with fixed setups developed by MSS’ industry leading roster. The full schedule and race dates are as follows:
