Vision Wheel Piles Up Hardware in Vegas to Reno, Bark River; MotoAmerica Team Back in Action This Weekend

Team Vision Wheel’s roster of off-road racing athletes had another memorable weekend in Michigan and Nevada, with the team doing battle at both Best in the Desert’s Vegas to Reno and Championship Off-Road’s visit to Bark River International Raceway. When all was said and done, the team compiled multiple class wins and podiums in both, led by a three-win weekend for CJ Greaves in one of the premier short course events of the season.

Greaves kicked off the action in Bark River with Pro 4 and Pro Stock SXS wins on Saturday, before taking his long-awaited first Pro Turbo SXS win of the season on Sunday alongside runner-up finishes in the other classes. Andrew Carlson and Johnny Greaves added third place finishes in Pro 4, while Pro 2 driver Keegan Kincaid and Pro Stock SXS driver Jack LeTourneau of Bikeman Performance had runner-up results of their own on Saturday. Gray Leadbetter completed the run on the Pro side with two Pro Spec podiums, giving her a shot at scoring the class title in next month’s Crandon finale.

At Vegas to Reno, UTV Turbo Pro driver Phil Blurton led the results with a runner-up class finish, his fifth podium in the event in the past six years. Mitchell Alsup added a third place finish in UTV Super Stock, while Chad Dohrman scored a sixth place in the ultra-competitive 6100 class. Vision also saw a deep UTV Trophy Unlimited roster enter the challenging event, with Raceco’s Jamie Campbell, Kristen Matlock, and Wayne Matlock all persevering through route changes and tricky terrain to make it to the finish. In the TrophyLite class, Zach Lumdsen beat his father Craig to the finish as both entries completed the grueling event.

With one of the biggest off-road weekends of the year in the books, attention turns to two-wheel action, as the Vision-supported Team Hammer MotoAmerica squad heads to Pittsburgh International Race Complex. Richie Escalante and Jake Lewis remain firmly within the top 10 in the Superbike division standings, while Tyler Scott has a win and six podiums to rank third in Supersport.
